A little stress is usually good for people, but it's really bad for us... I know first-hand.

@ lilley, thanks for the info on the book. I'll be looking out for it. I know God loves me and wants me to wait on him. I just need to give up my control, silly me!

@ Greg, I'm working on preventing stress by recognizing when I worry and then leaving it to God to handle.

You're way ahead of the curve if you know the triggers for the migraine. The big question is if you have this information, what are you going to do with it.

Stress is obviously something to be avoided. The truth is we are all going to have stress forever, so how do we prevent it from infiltrating our lives? We have to find ways like the iced tea on the patio to avoid the impact of the stress.

I'm a firm believer in having a spiritual practice. In the past year I've turned knitting into a spiritual practice and it has helped keep me grounded and present so stress can wash over me and disappear.

There is a wonderful book by Andrew Murray called 'Waiting on God'....I know that it would bless you...it's a small devotional book that he wrote for farmers in South Africa in the early 1900's....I have read it and re-read it 3 or 4 times...now, because it is a book that keeps on giving, I read it pretty much a sentence at a time...sorry about the migraine...I get them on ocassion as well...it's all about trusting the Lord and He LOVES it when we wait on Him!!!!
take good care...blessings...
