I have RA which has been fighting against the drugs we have been trying. About 2 months ago, my doc started me on Humira. I already had 2 highly affectionate cats, but have had dogs before and somehow "accidentally" adopted a 10 week old lab puppy (another story...) from the SPCA while it seemed I was started to respond well to the new drug. She is a sweetheart, very affectionate, well behaved (mostly...), and I was started to get some exercise walking her in the neigborhood...and then the Humira stopped working and I've been swollen for the past 2 to 3 weeks. My little gal somehow adapted instantly. Spends time in my lap on the couch chewing on a toy while I ice my knees, takes our walks at my much slower pace when I can walk her. How do they know? It's just amazing...

I was a reluctant pet owner. However, my son thought I needed one. One day he just showed up with her.

She is a Pit Bull Terrier and she is now my constant companion. Her name is Blue Beauty.

As time passed, our little family grew. We have three others. I call them my grand children.

Stay Well
