I can’t handle getting sick now. I mean I already feel overly tired and think I might have anemia. But I don’t want to get a stomach virus now. My stomach hurts and I feel sick to my stomach. I didn’t feel well enough to eat lunch and tried to eat dinner, but it didn’t happen. There’s no need for diet pills here.

The most upsetting part of this is that tonight is the premier of Lost. I have this whole routine for watching Lost and was ready for it tonight. It includes popcorn and now I can’t even think of smelling it, never mind eating it. So it’s going to feel like something’s wrong for sure.
Please not a stomach virus now on top of all this other crud.
This isn’t a topic that is easy to write about, but a vaginal yeast infection is part of women’s health and something that we women go through. Even if you have had one of these infections before, it is still difficult to know if this is what you actually when you have symptoms because they can overlap with other infections or feminine problems.
For example, you may feel burning on urination when you have a yeast infection but also if you have a urinary tract infection or UTI. You can feel irritation when you have a yeast infection but you can feel that when you have vaginal discomfort too and don’t have an actual infection.
So how can you know for sure if you have a yeast infection? You can go to your doctor, you can use over the counter tests or if you have had one before, read this:
What is a yeast infection? It is a common infection caused by a type of fungus. There are many causes for this type of infection including, stress, pregnancy, certain medications, tight clothing, and having diabetes.
Having candidiasis (another name for yeast infection) is uncomfortable. It can cause itching, a discharge, irritation, painful intercourse and burning urination. Most often you want treatment and you want it fast. Now there are OTC medications that many doctors tell patients to use. They are easy to get and use.

I’m trying not to make this a rant so I’ll just write about my symptoms without much commentary. Boring, but better than reading me whine about it at the same time, trust me.
About December 27th I had a menstrual period after not having one for about 6 months. It caused the Myasthenia Gravis symptoms to go haywire and it lasted 7 days.
Then about January 6th, this all started again. Add to that, nausea, dizziness, weakness, extreme fatigue, cramps, headaches and worsening MG symptoms. So I made a visit to my Primary Doctor as this was continuing.
I got the news that I am most likely starting Menopause. When I asked if the chronic illnesses would be made worse by Menopause I was told no. I do remember that fluctuating hormones can worsen MG. And I remember having to stop using the birth control pill when I was first diagnosed.
So I am making an appointment with my Neurologist to get things under control and to get my questions answered.

We are still redecorating my home. It’s been a long process but there’s still a lot of work to do. In our den, my husband built a new wall but we still need to add molding to the bottom of the wall. We’re also thinking of adding some around the wall, because it is a recessed wall. I would love to use something like this:

While looking through the site, I also found Corbels which would really add beauty to my kitchen counters, especially the part that hangs into the living room area of my home. I found photos of people who did the same thing in the Inspiration Gallery section called “Sharing Success”. Plus, I love any company that has their own blog.
Finishing up my home is something I need to get done to reduce my stress levels. I hate when I’m not feeling well, I’m sitting around the house and I look at all of the things that still need to be done here.
As I wrote in my recent post about gaining weight, I’m starting to do my best to change my eating habits. It hasn’t been easy since we were recently at Disney for 3 days and visiting my Aunt at the Rehab Center means not eating at home too often.
What I’ve tried to do is eat meals at the Rehab Center if they are healthy. Believe it or not, they are not very often. I looked for some restaurants today that are not fast food places and that offer salads and other foods that will help me with losing weight. I found a Cuban restaurant where I know I can find rice and beans and a place that has pitas and salads. I’ll probably go to those to see if the food is better when there’s things like sandwiches and chips for lunch at the Rehab Center.
Now that we’re home, I’m eating more fruits and vegetables. I bought my vegetables that I like to put in salads. Tomorrow I’ll cut them up so all I’ll need to do is mix them together and possibly add tuna, chicken or sardines. I also have whole grain rice mixes. They do have a lot of salt so if I eat them I’ll be sure to add beans but no dressing.
I do treat myself to a piece of chocolate every day or some other small piece of candy. That’s my treat after I’ve eaten a good healthy meal.
Slowly, but surely I’m making the changes in my eating habits so I can stick to them. I’m not expecting dramatic weight loss either.
