Many of us with chronic illnesses have limited abilities in the workload of housekeeping. We may tire easily and the normal tasks we did before we either may be unable to do at all, may take us longer to finish or we may need special equipment to get the job done.

One of the major cleaning jobs that is difficult to do is window cleaning. It is back breaking work. Break it up into steps by cleaning the inside windows first. Do a few at a time, keeping in mind your strength. Make sure that you have the right type of window cleaning equipment that lessens the work load. Use a sturdy ladder or step stool, but only if you are steady on your feet. Even so keep a phone in your pocket at all times or let someone know what you are doing so that they can check on you. Keep your supplies at hand so that you are not going up and down the steps too often.

The best way to prevent a fall is to make use of window cleaning poles. No need for ladders then. You still need to work slowly especially since you are using your strength.

HSD (Hygiene Supplies Direct) Online offers a wide range of cleaning supplies to the UK. They will meet the lowest price, are open 24 hours online, and provide customer reviews of the products they sell. You can feel secure with your purchase.

  1. I was given gift money for my birthday last year. My windows were terrible! I hadn’t cleaned the outside in over 4 years and the insides, especially up high, hadn’t had really good cleanings in a couple of years. I decided it was a worthwhile investment to give myself clean windows for my birthday and hired someone to come in and do them professionally, inside and out. Every time I look through the sparkly windows, I appreciate this gift since it was something I just couldn’t do on my own!
