The Results Are In
I caved in and called my doctor for the second mammogram and ultrasound results. I was surprised that I didn’t get a call from them because they call with results of all tests, positive or negative. Even though I figured everything was fine I didn’t want to take a chance to find out that my tests slipped through the cracks.
I was told that all that was found was cysts but that I need to go back for more testing in six months. I am not sure why but I’ll follow through with her request. I will see her before the six months so I can ask for more details.
No matter how much I said, thought and wrote that I wasn’t worried, I actually was. Breast cancer can scare the heck out of you.

I’m glad to hear it’s not a big problem, but I would ask the doctor for more information when you see them.

I am so glad to hear this! Even though cysts are not great, it is WAY better than breast cancer.
How unkind of them though not to inform you. I am only supposing that they have no idea what waiting like this does to people, since they deal with it every day.

As a physician, I would strongly recommend to change your healthcare provider.
Connie,
I don’t agree with them not telling you the reason for the visit in 6 months for more testing. I think they could be more thorough with their explanation.
You have been nominated for the Attitude of Gratitude award. I hope you accept.

Hey girl,
I haven’t stopped by in a while, been sick and down.(you know how it is!) I’m making the rounds to all my blogs that i read and was shocked to read your post. I am so very thankful that it is not cancer. I too had a scare in my late 30’s and found out I have fibrous cysts in my breast. But the ordeal was awful. The wait was really long just to get in and get the scan…erg.
You’re in my prayers Connie for continued breast health and overall health too.
hugs,
Michelle
